We invite you to take a look at the photo reportage from the artist’s vernissage titled PANORAMA OF THE EARTH.
The land from the hill here becomes something more than just a landscape.
It is a space of color, rhythm, movement, and structure. The perspective of distance makes familiar divisions lose their obviousness. Boundaries, paths, and man-made systems of order no longer dominate the image. The basic elements of visual language remain: line, plane, color, rhythm, and organic form. This is precisely the strength of this cycle.

We invite you to take a look at the photo report.
In 2007, Elisabeth Kuc presented a series of works at the Landeskrankenhaus Freistadt. „The Earth from Above” – a series that already at that time revealed one of the important directions of her artistic explorations: the need to look at reality from a different perspective.
The extraordinary photographs of a French photographer were the inspiration for the series. Yanna Arthus-Bertranda, Paintings showing the Earth from a bird's eye view. Landscapes seen from a height no longer remain mere specific places. Fields, rivers, roads, cities, and traces of human presence begin to form abstract arrangements of forms, lines, and colors.
Elisabeth Kuc, however, did not treat the photographs as material for a faithful reproduction. They became the starting point for her own interpretation.
The artist transformed forms, enhanced the intensity of colors, extracted structures, and changed the way she framed her images. What initially was a photographic record of reality transformed into an autonomous image—no longer subordinated to documenting the world, but to its artistic experience.
A change in perspective changes the way we see the world.
Looking from above allows us to see things that are invisible up close. What seemed orderly and familiar takes on a new character. The landscape begins to resemble painting, and photography becomes the impetus for creating one’s own artistic reality.
The opening reception that took place On September 27, 2007 at the Landeskrankenhaus Freistadt, The exhibition was officially opened and enriched with a musical performance as part of the activities of the LKH gallery.
From a time perspective, the cycle „The Earth from Above” It can be read as an important stage in the development of the artist’s individual language. Already in these works, the need to move away from simply presenting reality and to seek what is found was evident. between observation and interpretation.
Photography provided a picture of the external world. Painting allowed to transform it into a personal experience.
It is in this transition – from what is seen to what is experienced and recreated anew – that one can discern one of the important foundations of Elisabeth Kuc’s later work.
Today, after almost two decades, the 2007 exhibition remains not only a reminder of a specific moment in her career. It is also a testament to the process that continues in her painting to this day: the search for one's own language, one's own perspective, and one's own way of transforming reality into art.
