Thoughts, feelings, moods have their own colors
Not every painting starts with a brush. Sometimes it starts with a memory, with emotion, with a fascination with color. Sometimes it starts with a story that cannot be told in words. For me, painting is exactly that language. The language of color, light, contrast and imagination.
Painting as part of my life
My connection with painting began already in childhood. My grandmother used to read Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales to me, and I, equipped with colored pencils and a drawing pad, created my own images inspired by those stories.
Later came portraits, paintings for friends, and first experiences in art studios.
During my pharmaceutical studies, I worked in laboratories in Poland. Hermanna Grosza (Groscha) and Stefan Pawel Lisowski. It was there that I learned about the traditional approach to color theory, which still influences my way of painting today.
My first exhibition took place in Ried in the 1990s. Later, more exhibitions took place in Austria.
Painting has remained an important part of my life over the years — an oasis of relaxation, a space of creativity and a source of inspiration.
My world of colors
Today, after retiring, I have more time to devote to painting.
I create images that not only attract the eye, but also to encourage reflection, add confidence in oneself and bring positive energy.
For me, a painting is not just a composition of colors.
It is a way to make thoughts, feelings, and hope visible.
Darkness can also have a color.
One of the most important principles of my painting is that I don't use pure black from the tube..
I build depth and shadows through the interplay of colors—among others, ultramarines, indigos, violets, and warm earth tones.
Thanks to this, even the dark parts of the images remain vivid. Light and shadow do not fight with each other — they coexist.
Color is, for me, one of the most important ways of storytelling.
